SCHOOL TIMES
The school timetable for infants and juniors reflects the increased teaching time required for juniors (Key stage 2).
Our ‘Soft Start’ requires all children to arrive on the school site at 8.40am, when they will come straight into class. This time means that our children are calm and ready to learn when the school day begins at 9am (Infants) and 8.50am (Juniors).

Break 2.15 – 2.30 pm None
Finish 3.00 pm 3.00 pm
Breakfast Club. Children can arrive at school from 7.45 am, and have a healthy breakfast of fruit juice, cereal and toast. After breakfast children can choose quiet activities, drawing, model building, jigsaws and sewing in a supervised area of the school hall.
Children who don’t want to have breakfast but need an early drop off can arrive at school from 8 am and join in the activities mentioned above.

SCHOOL DRESS AND EQUIPMENT
Yorkley has a school uniform. We ask parents and children for their support and co-operation in this matter in order to help us foster a sense of pride and belonging to the Yorkley family. We have tried to make the uniform as parent and child-friendly as possible.
Uniform
Grey or black trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
Light blue or white polo shirt
Navy blue sweatshirt (no hood) or cardigan

Blue and white check dress
Sensible, dark shoes (low heels/no trainers)
Navy fleece (optional outdoor wear)
Blue baseball caps (optional outdoor wear)
PE/games
Shorts (blue or black)
Plain t-shirt (white)
Tracksuits may be worn in cold weather
Daps (plimsolls) or trainers
School sweatshirts (with the Yorkley logo on) are available through school (PTA) and order forms are circulated regularly. Good quality nearly-new items are sold at school.

Children will need a named shoe-bag in which to keep their sports kit and this should be available in school at all times. Please ensure that all clothing is named as it easier for us to return lost property.
