Class 3

Class  3 information

Teacher: Mrs Adams

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Gray, Mrs Baker, Ms Solana and Miss Smith

Homework

Homework will be sent home on a Monday and will be due in the following Monday.  The homework will either be English and Maths/Topic, based on work that is relevant to our learning.  It is important to encourage your child to complete the homework as independently as possible however some work will require working together.

Book Bags

Please can I remind you to send your child’s book bag in with them every day. This will allow us to change their books, send home letters and prevent them from losing things from the classroom to home.

PE Kits

Please ensure that your child always has a PE kit in school. PE is on a Tuesday, however there will be other times when PE kits are needed for other areas of learning. Now that the weather is colder you may wish to send your child with joggers.

Reading Books

Please ensure that your child reads at least 3 times a week. Reading books are collected in and changed if required every day, so please ensure that it is kept in your child’s book bag. Please put a comment every time your child reads (including the page they have got to) so that we can support them, and they can change their book. As your child is now reading longer books it is not required to read the whole book at once.  We recommend 10 minutes each night.

Fruit

Now that the children are juniors they are no longer provided with a piece of fruit at playtimes.  We recommend that you send your child with a piece of fruit each day.

We had a really interesting trip to The Dean Heritage Centre this term –
